End game ?

Today I put in more time on my ‘moose fence’. Not yet done but the perimeter part only needs one more section to encircle the new tower alongside the cabin. Just to give you an idea of what I am trying to keep away from the tower and guy wires holding it up, this picture should give you an idea of the average size of our moose.

In any event the area around the cabin now looks like a used car lot with hundreds of florescent streamers. Hopefully they will ward off any curious moose wishing to use my place as a short cut. When I came in this afternoon and turned on the radio I was amazed to here the Governor of North Carolina was calling for something that could only occur during times of marshal law.

The Governor MS. Beverly Purdue was calling for the canceling of the up coming federal elections. In fact she said we should call them off for the next two years. When you look at this trial balloon by a Democratic Governor and the many (‘proclamations’) enacted when Obama first took office. Add to it the call for a “civilian security force” that the Obama spoke of and finally the speech by the teamsters union president Mr Hoffa saying that his members should “take out those SOB’s” referring to the Tea party members and supporters, sounds like there is a storm coming.

Now I am not one of those people who see black helicopters and world order governments in every news story. But I wonder just how much can the man in the White house take before he realizes he is in trouble and takes (tries) to take some drastic actions. I see where protesters have been in the streets of New York city around the financial district. Don’t you think some of Obama’s backers are leaning on him to clean that mess up?

I guess the gist of this posting is vigilance and steady preparedness. Meaning pay more attention to the news, no matter how slanted it may be. Get out and vote even if at times it seems like a wasted effort. And on a personal basis slowly stock up on the necessities of life, just like you would if expecting a hurricane or snow storm. It never hurts to have a month’s or so supply of caned goods, water and medicine at hand.

In the mean time I will keep my eyes open for the invasion

of moose near my tower.
