A wake up call…. way too many years in the making

June 21, 2019

….all right all you old farts out there time to get un-politically correct and brutally honest and we are in no way talking about, (whatever their party affiliation is), politicians or the media because we know they don’t know what the meaning of the word honesty is.

Today we will take a brief dip in the sea of procrastination of those in the autumn of their lives like myself and no doubt many of you out there. On Monday I went to my doctor for problem ‘a’ and in the course of the examination we also touched on the more minor problems ‘b’ and ‘c’. It was on the drive home I started to realize that there were a number of ongoing, reoccurring problems that as an older person I just ignored and never presented to the doctor so he could look into them because the pain or problem wasn’t that bad or I just didn’t want to spend the money on it because I did not consider it serious enough.

Well like that one corner of the home that the dust is building up in and now looks like you never clean, the chickens are coming home to roost when I remembered the doctor asking me if I had a cardiologist and I replied sure in Alaska…. (ie. from almost a decade ago)

I think one should realize the trouble they are in when one has to prioritize their aliments in order of discomfort. Not only does this make it harder for the doctor to treat the problem you are seeing him for but because ailment ‘b’ could be aggravating something that makes ailment ‘a’ worse than it normally would be and the medicine that helps ailment ‘a’ may have a bad reaction with the medicine that cures ailment ‘b’.

I am not here to offer a solution
because I haven’t found one
I am just metaphorically shaking your mind
and hopefully you like myself
will endeavor to eliminate
some of those less severe ailments
before they do interfere
with major health issues.

Yup, been rehabbing my left knee for a over a month with physical therapy. In Oct. I go for another colonoscopy. Hope everything’s alright there.
Keeping moving as much as you can even a walk around the inside of your house & doing some light stretching helps.
