….an Alaskan immuring Texas

April 27, 2017

Way too many thoughts pass through my head on a daily basis that never see the light of day on this blog. Some come as I drift off to sleep and others while listening to the radio or watching the news. Some I do endeavor to write about but usually end up in the trash because I can not formulate a decent posting. I have attempted before to write postings containing multiple issues but never seem to get the right format. However rather than let more of my skewed observations go by the way side I am going to try again with a self enforced semi-weekly plethora of news, observations and crap that bugs me. immuring

Hillery for President in 2020

Why not? I do not think it will be much different than what is happening in Washington these days. For example congress just removed, from the budget extension, an allocation for building the border wall because if they didn’t the democrats in the senate would block the budget extension and shut down the government. Do you remember when the democrats were passing the funding bill for oboma-care and the republicans blocked that budget extension? The government was shut down from October 1st 2013 to the 16th, with 800,000 government employes furloughed and 1.3 million more ordered to report for work not knowing when they would be paid. The The democrats and the media made such an issue of blaming the republicans for shutting down the government that those great republican statesmen backed down and obama-care was funded. Can anyone tell me why the republicans and the President can not stand firm on this national security issue and just like in 2013 blame the opposition party for a government shutdown? sanctuary cit

We don’t need congress… we have federal judges to make laws.

First it was the Seattle federal district court blocking the Presidents executive order banning most immigration from seven predominantly Muslim countries, and now a federal judge ruled Tuesday that the Trump administration cannot withhold federal funds from jurisdictions that limit their cooperation with immigration authorities, commonly known as sanctuary cities. On the latter issue I wonder how the judge could ignore the fact that those cities are already violating federal laws and instead focusing on how unfair and broad stroked the executive order is.

As for the former executive order on immigration restrictions the President acted totally within his constitutional rights to issue the order but again the court’s ignored that and focused on the fact that it was targeting Muslims and those coming from Muslim countries. I wish one could ask him if the vast majority of attacks are perpetuated by followers of a radicalized Muslim faith should we restrict Italians and Germans or those who are committing those acts?

Congress and the President appear that they don’t have the backbone
to stand up to the minority democrats and the federal courts.
Let the nation know the democrats shut the government down
because they do not want stronger national security
and don’t rollover and let the liberal judges of the federal court
stop them from securing our borders
fight the rulings all the way to the supreme court.

Amen to the last paragraph.Spineless, gutless, kowtowing, whining, excuse making, so-called conservative leadership. Trump, if nothing else has certainly exposed Congress for what it truly is. DRAIN THE SWAMP!!

haha. I think it’s called keeping it real? Trump is trying to turn the White House into a reality TV show. Someone needs to show him he cannot overturn the ” laws of the land” just cause he wants to and thinks they’re ” Bad, really bad”. :D

Just noticed your photo of the mosquitoes, I was once up in Northern Canada tree planting and that was pretty much what it was like. Brought back memories.

Here in Texas Michael I can now enjoy drinking my coffee outside without any mosquitoes, but the trade off is almost weekly bouts with storms, hail and the occasional tornado.

There is always a trade off no matter where you live in the world. Here, well, it’s black fly season now. But still early enough to have the morning coffee outside.
