Ice, snow and cold weather ….the beat goes on

December 18, 2016

Unlike the past decade and a half in my cabin sitting here in my new work space I can now access, at any time of the day current news from anywhere on the globe. Today when I awoke I was drawn to the problems a large new-deskportion of our nation is having because of the ice, snow and arctic temperatures. Tens of millions of people are now struggling to preform everyday tasks with the burden of icy roads and for some just getting their vehicle out of their driveway is a major endeavor. But the important thing here is through their effort to maintain normalcy they do continue with their daily lives.

Who are these tens of millions? From the parents making sure their child gets to school safely or those just trying to get to work so they won’t loose any money from their pay-check to the tens of thousands of truck drivers facing those same dangerous highways to deliver our necessities… they are us.

These millions have the fortitude and perseverance to overcome inconvenient and sometimes dangerous situations to ensure their daily life is not disrupted. Yes the same is true even without the addition of severe weather. Most face at one time or another a car that will not start, a debilitating sickness, a broken budget or a child that will not get ready for school yet we handle these and other problems without breaking down and sitting in the corner crying.

So I ask why when one’s choice for President does not win do some of these same millions act like they are infants? How can adults and young adults who can face the potential of injury from ice covered roads not face the simple reality that someone they supported lost?

Across this nation in newspapers large and small were stories of people who are acting like it is the end of the wold. One glaring example is the woman who wrote in the Washington Post that Trumps victory made her loose all interest in finding a mate. She wrote, “Once it was clear that Donald Trump would be president instead of Hillary Clinton, I felt sick to my stomach. I wanted to gather my children in bed with me and cling to them”. Not only with respect to her personal life but her daughter who was about to have a tooth pulled and was told, “Just think: You’ll always remember the day you got a tooth pulled with the day we elected our first female president. When I told her Trump had won, she protested: But Mom. You said Hillary was going to win, A lot of people thought the same thing, I said. I hugged her, a little scared to send her to school”.

It is inconceivable to me that there are in reality people across the nation who feel exactly the same way, just because they lost an election, but I believe I know why. This young woman was indoctrinated by what she was taught by her parents, the propaganda that the media puts forth as fact and the candidate she supported when they said that it would indeed be the end of the world if their opponent won.

You may think my conclusion is off the mark
but look closely and by this one article
you can see how she is now
indoctrinating
her
daughter

And now the soon-to-be former first lady says (after Jan. 20th) “there’s no hope.” In 2008 she said after her husband became president, “for the first time I’m proud of my country.”
So we can somewhat loosely conclude that, according to Michelle, the only time in our country’s history there was hope & pride in America was from 2008-2016.
According to this election, America disagreed.

Unfortunately too much of the news media and public education and “higher” education has fallen victim to indoctrination and political correctness. Along with many people can pick and choose only to hear what they want to hear “Emperor has no clothes”, Refusing to even objectively listen to oppossing viewpoints (that are in many cases the TRUTH). In my opinion much of it started when we kicked Prayer out of Schools and the falsehood’s that is Roe v. Wade.

As always you make some interesting albeit provocative points, Pete. I think you are spot on regarding the woman you used in your write up; decades of a liberal upbringing along with probably little to no instruction in critical thinking and therefore a propensity to want the news media to tell her what she should think has produced that poor excuse for a thinking and measuring human being. I remain impressed no end that the lame-stream media whines and cries about Trump cutting them out of his information loop yet virtually every story they write about him is spun so much towards the negative. So much for them having their cake and eating it too..!
