They protect our freedom

November 10, 2016

Men and woman

endure the hardships of tough training

spend months away from family

and unquestioningly at times

sacrifice their lives

all of this

so you and I

can have our freedom

God Bless our armed services – past and present – along with our first responders and our police forces! Tomorrow everyone should take a moment to remember the reason we celebrate ‘Veteran’s Day’ and give thanks for all their myriad of sacrifices…

And yet, so little respect goes to those who retired from the armed services, the ones who were wounded in war, why is that???

This evening, Margie & I went to our favorite restaurant an American Legion in a neighboring suburb, where the vets enjoyed a buffet of ham, turkey & prime rib on the house & the rest of us had the same for a modest price. A short, poignant but still enjoyable program was held during the meal.
God bless our armed forces on their day & always.
