Sex and the Presidential election

October 17, 2016

Lately no matter what time of day or what station you listen to or watch whenever the ‘news’ comes on you can be assured you will be confronted with soundbites about how horrible Mr Trump is because of all the woman he allegedly groped or fondled. mky2This despite the fact that no in depth research has been done on their allegations and that for some inexplicable reason they all surfaced at the same time this close to election day.

I find it quite strange that these unsubstantiated allegations are more news worthy than anything else happening around the world. Apparently peace has been declared in the middle east, the flood of migrants around the world has stopped and our economy is now back to Reagan era 4% GNP. Even more surprising is the fact that apparently Mrs. Clinton thinks Trump’s alleged interactions with these woman should now be the focus of her campaign. I find that strange because when President Bill Clinton was having sex with an intern inside the White house she did everything she could to dampen the news coverage.

Unless you are a moron or blinded by your fervor for Mrs Clinton you must see it is just another underhanded tactic by her to defeat Trump. She is scared because with the election just around the corner Trump is still close enough to defeat her, and I fully expect more of the same from her in these last few weeks before the election.

We used to joke about the state supported news media in Russia because according to them the old Soviet Union never had any internal problems and their nations economy was always in good shape. Here in America our news media was supposed to be impartial and unbiased but now anyone with a brain can see that they are following their Soviet counterparts and towing the party line, never showing the lies and corruption coming from Hillary and gleefully spending hours trashing Mr Trump.

Again I ask that you to
stop letting the soundbites influence you
and take the time to understand
that we are heading down the road
to a nation controlled by Washington
and those who will do anything
to stay in power.

Good piece, Pete! The lame-stream media was supposed to be ‘The Fourth Estate’ and provide a window for the country’s citizens into governmental operations and dealings. Since the newsrooms became overwhelmingly liberal unbiased reporting slowly began to be replaced by liberally biased ‘news’ but still referred to as ‘journalism’. The trend has accelerated across the last 20 years and now we have the media mainly in bed with the liberal parties and candidates. There are virtually no journalists left in this country and we are suffering because of this situation…

Oh boy is it getting interesting. lol. The last debacle was like watching a playground brawl and a lot of “I know you are, but what am I?”

Not going to defend or support anyone… just not surprised that Trump is a womanizer… I mean, we already knew that. But then we already knew everything else about Clinton’s history. And yet, here we are… somehow WE voted them in… pretty sure the Trump GOP nomination solidified the Clinton one to begin with… I mean, Bernie against Trump? Lol.

Say your prayers, or get the popcorn… it’s gonna be a roller coaster. I wouldn’t have voted for Trump before the allegations… and really, I mean, there’s video of him saying these things. Despite veracity of personal claims against him…. regarding inappropriate behavior… he’s proven himself undignified, to say the least, and has yet to speak out against Neo-Nazi and KKK supporters (the actual ‘deplorables’ that were the topic of the last bout). In addition, he fails to answer questions when asked. And constantly has to dig himself out of the last semantical hole that he dug for himself. It’s like a minefield of inappropriate comments.

Regardless, I feel your pain, I, as a rule, do not like politicians. I think they are all fundamentally crazy. So… this year, in that regard is no different than any other. It’ll be an interesting January 25th.

I don’t think the woman are breaking their silence. Most have been talking about it with family and friends since it happened. However, I think after the clip of Trump claiming he loved to grope and kiss ( rape) woman without their consent then stand up and denies it got to these woman.
I always vote irregardless if all parties suck. However, if I was forced to vote in your election I would be vomiting either way.
I see nothing good coming out of this coming election. As your closest northern neighbor it concerns me a lot. Everything that happens in the U.S tends to spill over our borders.
Trump scares me the most. He has shown himself to be irresponsible with his actions and uneducated when it comes to foreign affairs. Globally this world has become a time bomb ready to go off. One wrong more and …………… Trump I can see doing something to set that bomb off, Both figuratively and in reality.
Clinton on the other hand is perhaps a two faced lying puppet of politics who is concerned only about herself. However, she is predicable and knows how the game is played.

Yes, I will vote again this year. Yes, I will have to hold my breath the entire time I am at the polls. They probably would not allow a gas mask.

I’m sure all those allegations aren’t true but my feeling is that a small amount of them are. Even if it’s just one. The things this man has said during his campaign makes me realize he is not in control of his emotions. He’s a nut job in my opinion. But she is an evil human being. So I wrote my own name in on the ballot. LOL! It won’t matter what I write in here in this state. It’ll go to Clinton.

Laura. At first I thought Trump to be a refreshing breather to the political self serving robots of the White House. Though over the last year, I have seen the same thing as you. He is unpredictable driven by an uncontrolled emotion responses. Almost, like a three year old in and old balding mans body. As refreshing as his ideology may be. I don’t think it is safe to have someone in power that is unable to control his urges, emotions and actions. A man that one day sides with the KKK or says Putin is a ” good guy” then a few days later recants. Well….I’d rather see someone in office that may be the worst of the worst but still plays the game with the big boys and knows how it is played is a much safer vote. Sadly this election is not about improving the US, it is about who will do the least amount of damage. BTW. I’m Canadian. Yet, what happens down South tends to spill over into Canada.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. It’s scary how corrupt she is and what a narcissist he is. He thinks of himself first. It’s natural for him with his personality disorder. I also thought he was a breath of fresh air at first. That didn’t last long though. I wonder if we will ever have someone truly inspirational and a true uniter ever again. Seems money and power are the growing traits in a president. So sad.
