Freedom to do and say what we want is taken for granted by most of us
but it comes at a very high cost
Never forget those that have served, fought and died
allowing us to have this freedom.

This is marvellous.
Our freedom was born in a holocaust and orgy of killing. This is the cost that India and Pakistan, as newly born nations, bore in 1947
I think many of us have forgotten the cost of freedom

A-men to this one!!! And may God bless all our armed forces, police and first responders – past and present – without whom this country would not exist!

As an British Army wife I thank you! Not enough people remember that others have laid down their lives so that we can enjoy our freedom!

Death can be a hard thing to fathom, yet this is the price many have paid for freedom.

“WW2-Gulf of Leyte” Thanks for this entire posting but especially this pic Pete. I’ll make sure Margie sees this as Leyte is the island next to Samar where she’s from.
Thanks to all who’ve served & their loved ones too.
Have a blessed & thoughtful Memorial Day Pete & everyone else here too!
