Hillary or Trump does it really make any difference?

The exact wording of our nations constitution is….“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the found1Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” When the constitution was ratified over two hundred years ago on June 21st 1788 I am sure our founding fathers had no idea what the nation would look like today.

However we are fortunate that they being men with great foresight and with a solid foundation of spiritual and moral right and wrong they knew full well that human nature was weak. They also understood that having power and authority will corrupt most men so they stated exactly what the function of our government in Washington was responsible for in that first section of our constitution.  The problem is that now 200 years later our President and representatives have ignored its enumerated responsibilities and now has its hands in every aspect of our daily lives.

Some have argued that the constitution is a living document subject to the whims of each new generation. These same people do not understand that if followed as originally written it would ensure that America would remain the greatest nation on the face of the earth as it has for the past two hundred years. Sadly today; politics, political correctness, degradation of family values and morality and an politicized supreme court has weakened the constitution to the point we are swiftly becoming a third world nation and a second rate world power.

The fact that we will never learn is evident by our actions back in 2014 when we voted, because we were tired of the wasteful spending and excess use of power by the President, to ensure control of both the house and senate by the republicans. We actually thought our actions would somehow make a difference and the new republican controlled house and senate would pass legeslation that would benifit ‘we the people’. By the end of 2015 we have seen how wrong we were by among other actions the passing of the Omnibus spending bill which took any leverage we may have had over the President out of our hands. 

This year we are faced with the election of a new President and I must ask do you really think whomever is elected will make any difference to the middle class working man or woman? All politicians lie… or to put it in a nicer way they will say whatever they think you want to hear to get elected and when in office they will go ahead and do whatever they want no matter how it effects you. Take for instance the bill now in congress to defund oboma-care. Every representative that votes in favor of that bill knows full well the President will veto it but they will still be able to once again go to their constituents and say I voted to defund obama-care. True it is not a lie but they knew ahead of time what they were doing would have no effect.

So weather it is Hillary, Trump or any of those running for President I am sorry to say the game is fixed and we are just along for the ride. Even if someone could win that would actually fight for what ‘we the people’ want and need the crooked representatives presently in congress would ensure he would get nowhere.

I see no positive platitudes or

thoughts to end this with except that

until we all join together and rise up as one

demanding a balanced budget, less government intrusion

and representatives made to be responsible for their actions

we will no doubt receive ‘more of the same’.
