Dark Country

July 7, 2015

The acrid taste of fire greeting the new day
with smoke more dense than before,
and physical pain interspersed by
the weight of life-changes.

The road of life appears to be entering a dark country
where one can not see what direction to take
maybe it is time to stop on my journey
and let life take its course.

Hang in there Pete… its always darkest before dawn. Enjoyed C-90 adventure on the Dalton Highway. Quite an adventure! Reminded of fun had during my 20’s.

Yeah….hang in there Pete!! This journey called “life” has a lot of different roads, but every road has it’s adventures. 68 years of ‘traveling’ and you’ve got a lot to look back on… and I both agree “it’s been a great ride so far’..come on down…” coffee is Always on”….Joe

Hang tough, Pete! Hopefully the weather will cooperate and dampen the fires across the next few weeks…

A lot of that smoke has drifted into Mn. the last couple of weeks, resulting in a air quality warning for the entire state last Mon. Looked like fog.
