The American public was lied to….again

March 6, 2015

petecomputerartI recently wrote to a friend here in Alaska that I firmly believe that ‘we the people’ do not have a chance in hell to change the direction that our government is heading. A prime example of this was the November election and the actions of congress and the senate in the past month.

The American public tired of the way the President and the Democratic party was running the country gave the Republicans a sweep in the elections and control of both houses in Washington. This was based solely on the promise from those same Republicans that when they returned to office they would defund executive amnesty enacted by obama and funded in the homeland security budget.

They also promised that as soon as they had control of both houses they would get the XL-pipeline bill passed and block any veto attempt by the President. Some Republicans running for office even went so far as to say they would when these things were accomplished they would address runaway spending in our nations budget. Well its March and they fully funded Homeland Security without removing the money for executive amnesty, they didn’t override the XL-pipeline veto and they are still spending more every day than the government takes in.

YOU and I will never change the way things work in Washington as long as we continue to believe the lies both the Republicans and Democrats tell us. These ‘representatives’ understand full well that WE will never get mad enough to stand together as one voice and say we have had enough.

Enough of:
their constant lying to the American people
their corruption in accepting corporate money for their votes
their enacting of laws that favor foreign nations over the Unites States
their appointing of judges that willfully distort the Constitution
their apologizing to every nation on earth for our financial accomplishments
their constant ignorance
of the will of ‘we the people’ and the principles
this nation was founded upon.

Democrats love to tax and spend. Fortunately, executive orders can be cancelled by succeeding presidents. I guess we just have to wait a while until someone new is in the white house! Dwight in Ohio

Just about a one-party system now, Pete. Boehner & McConnell really need to go away. It’s so irritating even when they have the majority the Dems. still rule. What a bunch of crap. I’m almost ready to throw in the towel on voting.

My sentiments exactly Jon…… We need leadership not showmanship…. I just can’t imagine what this great country is going to look like 20 years from now! I feel for our kids and grand-kids and what they have been burdened with….. Whats really amazing is that the people that voted these morons in really think they are doing a good job…. I guess they are like a lemming and will follow others over that cliff….

Politics is so corrupt. I used to hear people like me, throwing up their hands, and I was so annoyed by those people. But now I’m one of those people throwing up my hands. It’s all money and greed. Sad our society has come to this.
