The emperor has no clothes…redux

March 4, 2014

typeThe news last week hammered away the fact that obama had a ‘frank’ 90 minute discussion with the Russian President Alexander Putin concerning his nations use of force in the Ukrainian state of Crimea. obama conveyed his feelings that Russia should not attempt to take over the country by force otherwise there would be strong consequences. The result of this conversation is of course that the Russian military moved into Crimea ignoring anything obama might have said.

In an older post I have written about how England, at one time a ruler of the worlds oceans, was replaced during the world wars by the United States as the preeminent power on the face of the earth. Now it seems that from major nations like Russia and China to the small countries like Iran, Syria and Mexico no one takes the United States seriously anymore. Maybe the world now views the United States as a country whose President does not have the courage of conviction to back up his words.

Or maybe those nations have just been observing what obama has done with our foreign policy and military since he took office. One only has to remember when obama’s state department, (headed by Hillary Clinton), officially ‘expressed it condolences‘ because of an air strike on Anwar al-Awlaki. Dose anyone think we should have apologized for killing a terrorist before he could help kill any more Americans?

It is a wonder that our enemies, seeing how this President acts with regard to foreign policy, have not committed many more acts of terrorism. Today we are seeing how one long time enemy the leader of Russia is ignoring anything obama says, and is doing whatever he wants.

It is evident obama does not understand what President Roosevelt meant when he said
“speak softly but carry a big stick”
Now the people of the Ukraine are seeing the results…
…could the people of the United States be next?

*Tonight before posting this article the obama administration announced that the United Stated will give the Ukraine a one billion dollar loan guarantee. I guess giving a foreign country a billion dollars, (that we do not have), is better than actually showing some backbone when dealing with Russia.

Until the troops were sent in, I was sure the former KGB agent was quaking in his riding boots when our brave & upstanding leader “threatened” him. Oh, what am I saying?
I’ve referred to Obama as “Putin’s putty” for a long time & looks like I may be on to something.
