Homeward bound ?

January 30, 2014

The time has come to leave the “warm” embrace of family and the Texas sun and head to my cabin on the edge of nowhere. For those of you not following my blog last year there may be some down time between this post and the appearance of the next one. Also if you start seeing post’s without photographs then I am sending the post through the ‘ham radio email system. Suffice it to say the old curmudgeon will be taping the keys in a few days so please be patient.

With that said I will indeed miss the love and hospitality that I received

from a family that ‘truly’ doesn’t mind having you around for two months.

I mentioned to Anthony and Claudia that I envy my father

because he lived nearby and could drop in anytime to be with his grandchildren.

One can only hope

that God will grant me the time

to visit them once again.

Perhaps grandchildren are repayment for having raised their parents … they may be enjoyed without the responsibility of raising them, and the enjoyment is at the same time, getting even with one’s kids!
