The emperor has no clothes!

September 5, 2013

P.1I must truly be living in some bizarro alternate universe where up is down and wrong is right. The President today in Stockholm Sweden said that even if congress does not approve an air strike he would unleash a can of whip ass on the Syrian government. He also said he was going to do this because of “national security” reasons. Now I admit I am not the smartest person around, but please “national security”. Maybe he thinks the Syrians are going to launch a ballistic missile filled with Sarin gas at Washington.

All this because he opened his mouth and dared Syria to cross the red line and Syria called his bluff, now he is scrambling for a way to back off his threat. It reminds me of being back in grade school and some boy would threaten the school bully only to realize when the bully turned and came for him he could not back up his threat. The English parliament, the UN and six out of ten Americans do not want the United States to take any military action against Syria, however obama said he speaks for everyone.

But the emperor like a child who was told no is having a tantrum. Can’t you just see him in private kicking the furniture and screaming at his aids saying ‘how can they not do what I say’, I am the President. If the outcome of his actions did not have such serious ramifications this would make for a great cartoon. Its’ bad enough he backed the Muslim brotherhood in Egypt now he wants to back al-Qaeda in Syria. The total of his actions on the world stage is making it harder and harder not to believe that he wants the middle East to be dominated by our enemies.

Maybe this is his way of promoting alternate energy

by cutting off our supply of oil from the Middle East?

Oh well, it’s all Bush’s fault, don’t you know? When is this person going to take the blame for his own actions? If a kid of mine acted like this, it would not only get a thorough spanking, it would be grounded until it was old enough to act responsibly.
Oh dear, another politically incorrect point of view from me. The ones that still believe in anything he says are not paying too much attention to the facts from Bengazi or even 9-11 and now to be backing one of the sides in a country where both sides hate the USA and actively work for the destruction of our country fairly boggles the mind.

I regret the line was drawn. But wasn’t that done a long, long time ago when America became the go-to nation to solve the world’s ills? Whomever is responsible for atrocities, do we hang back and let them go on? Is it our responsibility to fix or stop or punish all that is done by other governments or powers? Our gut says these kinds of things deserve to be hauled up short, but regardless of how much support is out there, or how much protest is launched against a thing, America leads. What do we do? I posted my opposition to a Syrian offensive on both Murkowski’s and Begich’s Facebook pages, but – morally – how do we turn aside, knowing there’s been some kind of perceived victory in such an attack against humanity? What answer would be the humanitarian equivalent to a strike against Syria?

Yeah, killing some more Syrians as a response to disagreeing on how to kill Syrians seems a bit surreal but isn’t it genuine fantasy when all that comes from a government that has no money to pay for what it’s talking about? I wonder, how long will reality continue to hold off?
