Dumb & dumber
When I heard on the radio today that some gas stations, in California, were charging over $4.00 for a gallon of gas I was overjoyed. Overjoyed with the fact that our president lead the charge to not approve the Canadian oil pipeline. He and his minions in congress and the senate virtually assured that domestic production both off shore, in Alaska and with Canada would not happen. Now we have to face the consequence of these well planed actions.
I believe the Canadians have already signed an agreement with China to re-route the proposed pipeline to Canada’s Western coast so it could be shipped to China. Am I the only one who does not understand why the US is taking these actions. It seems so obvious that by limiting our own oil production and by not accepting oil from Canada, (a country that for the moment does not want to kill us), that we are doing everything we can to crash our economy.
Yes I know the president supports a “green” economy, and he and many others believe oil is just one big pollution machine. From there belief of the adverse environmental impact of exploring and drilling for the oil to the refineries sending there emissions into our air. That is why he wants us to go green. From his backing, with millions of our dollars, to a solar panel company that went broke soon after getting our money. To his un-wavering support of the electric car.
Now thats a sore spot for me… I do agree that the electric car does not pollute the air as it is driven, and it does not use gas so it lowers our dependence on oil. But have any of those idiots in Washington realized that the cars batteries need to be re-charged. When you plug into any outlet in the United States that electricity is coming from a generator powered by natural gas, oil, coal or nuclear power. I thought the president said we needed to eliminate our dependence on them.
And just for the moment lets take a look at what would happen if the majority of cars were electric. Last summer we were having brown outs across the nation when the summer heat had us all turning on our air conditioners. What will happen when you add 10 or 20 million electric cars? I am sure that he will give more of our tax dollars to support those solar panel companies so they can cover the Southwest and produce more electricity. If they don’t run out of land to panel over or go bankrupt first.
Yes dumb and dumber, from our president to our representatives it would be funny if it wasn’t taking this nation down the road to ruin. It is actions like this and others that I write about that I can see no logical reason for.
Who benefits from what they are doing?
