Winter is coming

November 17, 2010

For all my Ham friends a nice shot of the Mosley high up in our garden with a light dusting of snow.

The view today out my kitchen window, after the drive was cleared of snow. The temp tonight has just hit -2 at 8pm and they are calling for -10 to -30 for Fairbanks tonight. Looks like winter is fast approaching.

Makes me want to play Winter Wonderland over and over.

I can’t see how anyone thinks a beam way up high glistening in the sun is anything but pretty.

Son, the picture just doesn’t do it justice, you have to be there to really appreciate just how beautiful it looks.

Oh, I know. It’s impossible to recreate unless you’ve been there and can, with your mind’s eye, build the rest of the image. Complete with me standing there and shivering. :)

It is a beautiful shot. I’d say winter is here though. Last week-end we had 6-12″ of snow here in the Twin Cities. Lot of it is still here, with snow expected most of next week, though not sure how much. International Falls was supposed to drop below 0 last night. Coldest T-giving in 2 decades is forecast here. A happy and blessed Thanksgiving to all the posters.
p.s. Has anyone seen or heard from Al Gore? LOL!

Yeah it started Monday morning and has been off and on since. the temps are mid to upper 30’s and it’s going to be real bad when the temps drop back down. Told my daughter in Fairbanks not to try and drive out for Thanksgiving..Town has been a real mess. Only good coming out of this is I had the heat off most of yesterday and today. pete PS You can use this address for email and conversation instead of the blog comments….
